The Gulf of Baratti is a small glimpse of unspoiled nature that winds its way between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Ligurian Sea, a few steps from Piombino, on the Tuscan coast that from Livorno continues towards Grosseto. The splendid beach, which falls gently into the waters of the gulf, is protected behind it by a thick pine forest. If you are passionate about snorkeling and diving, Baratti is a real treasure to be discovered: its wealth of flora and fauna will make you lose track of time, but the real treasures could also be hidden among the rocks at the ends of the gulf or under the seabed. sand that from time to time return the remains of that civilization so distant but at the same time so present, such as the famous silver amphora, found almost 40 years ago and now kept in the Piombino Museum. Behind the beach extends the beautiful pine forest of Baratti , crossing the narrow road that runs through the gulf to its southern end we come across a real open-air museum: the necropolis,  today part of the Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia , a glimpse of Etruscan civilization that seems to have carried the temporal dimension.
